Temporary Work Visas
- H-1B Visa – For skilled professionals (IT, engineering, healthcare, etc.) with a U.S. employer sponsorship. Requires a bachelor's degree.
- L-1 Visa – For employees transferring from a Bangladeshi branch of a multinational company to a U.S. office.
- O-1 Visa – For individuals with extraordinary skills in arts, sciences, business, or sports.
- TN Visa – Only for Canadian & Mexican citizens, so not applicable to Bangladeshis.
Employment-Based Green Cards (Permanent Residency)
- EB-1: For individuals with extraordinary ability, top researchers, or multinational executives.
- EB-2: For professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional abilities. May require a U.S. job offer.
- EB-3: For skilled workers, professionals, and other workers (e.g., construction, hospitality).
- EB-4: For religious workers, broadcasters, and special cases.
- Immediate Relative Visas: For spouses, children, and parents of U.S. citizens.
- Family Preference Visas: For siblings, married children, and relatives of U.S. citizens and Green Card holders.
Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery |
- DV Lottery Program – Bangladesh is NOT ELIGIBLE for the 2025 DV Lottery due to high immigration numbers in past years. However, if your spouse or parents were born in an eligible country, you may still qualify.
- F-1 Visa – For Bangladeshi students enrolling in U.S. universities. You must show proof of funding.
- M-1 Visa – For vocational courses.
- J-1 Visa – For exchange visitors, researchers, and interns.

Investor and Entrepreneur Visas |

U.S. Citizenship (Naturalization) |
- After 5 years (or 3 years for spouses of U.S. citizens) of holding a Green Card, you can apply for U.S. citizenship through naturalization.
